DAY 2
The “Garland of Sonnets” concert offers a thoughtfully structured chamber program that connects Baroque transcription, Romantic repertoire, twentieth-century classics, and contemporary works.
Diverse instruments are placed in constantly shifting combinations —from Galperin’s modern sonnets and Martinů’s tightly argued duo to Françaix’s finely crafted trio and Bach’s chorale in a new arrangement.
After the intermission, sacred choral works are presented by the Frequenza Festival Brass Ensemble, leading to Brahms’s Horn Trio—one of the central works of the genre, representing the fusion of the brass and traditional chamber music world.
